Five Benefits of Reciting Holy Quran
There are plenty of benefits of Reciting the Holy Quran but we will mention some of the most important and beneficial. People recite the Quran for different reasons such as: to be closer to Allah Almighty, to recite the words of Allah Almighty, believing that it brings solutions to problems, increase in Iman (faith), more understanding about Islam, and so on… There is a set time during which one can recite or read from the Quran whether one is male or female. Also, there is no limit to how much you recite each day, it can be even 100 times if you wish! So here are 5 benefits of reciting and reading from the Holy Quran.
1) Reflecting and understanding Islam:
Understanding and having more knowledge about Islam by studying the Quran is the first major benefit of reciting and reading from the Holy Quran. Allah Almighty has said:
"Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a profit that will never perish – That He may give them their rewards in full. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful." (Al-Quran 35:29)
2) To recite and recite again:
The second benefit is that one gets to recite more than once which can be intentional or unintentional if you wish you can recite as little as three times each day whether by mistake or on purpose it still counts! So read as much as you can recite, recite it once verbally or in your mind. Reciting the Quran is a very rewarding activity that brings lots of good to an individual's life!
3) Increase in Iman (Faith):
The third benefit of reciting and reading from the Quran is that you increase more in your faith by being around Quran more often even if it means accidentally reciting one verse each day. Allah Almighty has said:
"And recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord. There is no changer of His words, and never will you find in other than Him a refuge." (Al-Quran 18:27)
4) Removing sins:
The fourth benefit comes when we recite and read from the Quran we start feeling that we are in a state of high levels of purity and cleanliness! Because when we recite and recite, we begin to feel that our hearts and minds become cleansed. Allah Almighty has said:
"Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend (in His cause) out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, (can) expect a profit that will never perish – That He may give them their rewards in full. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful." (Al-Quran 35:29)
5) Fulfilling your desires:
The fifth benefit is whenever one recites from the Quran he/she feels all his/her desires and wishes are fulfilled. Allah Almighty has said:
"Allah has promised those who believe (Muslims) and do righteous good deeds, that for them there will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), wherein they will abide forever. This is the great success." (Noble Quran: 4:57)
